2010 CAA Football Preseason Camp Update — 8.28

Aug 28, 2010, 11:05 AM EST

Preseason camp continues to draw to a close.  Most of programs will break camp this weekend and move toward game-week mode to prepare for opening weekend opponents.

Congrats to Mike Riordan for picking up yesterday’s James Madison mini-helmet.  We pulled a tricky one on yesterday’s question asking how many league titles the Dukes have won under head coach Mickey Matthews.  In Matthews’ year-by-year rundown on his bio page in the CAA Football Yearbook it shows four 1st-place marks in league play…the trick is that that indicator if for divisional play.  In 2006 the Dukes won the South, but UMass went undefeated in the league play to win the overall title.  JMU has won or shared three league titles under Matthews.
